Glow Run on October 7th
We are looking for 10-15 volunteers to help with a fun new fitness run for Pine Bend students - the glow run on October 7th. People interested can contact Sara Gorter at 651-331-6249 or [email protected]

Wednesday Folder Volunteers Still Needed!
Most Pine Bend classrooms use volunteers to help stuff Wednesday folders with paperwork going home to parents. This is a volunteer opportunity that requires minimal time on Wednesdays. Several classrooms are still in need of these volunteers: Ms. Hatlestad, Mrs. Dramdahl-Maddio and Ms. Flaschenriem. If you are interested in helping out, please contact the teacher directly, or contact Sara Pearce at [email protected].

Lost and Found
We already have numerous sweatshirts in the lost and found. If you think your student is missing an item, please have them check the lost and found bin located in the cafeteria. It is also a good idea to label your child's clothing with their name to help minimize lost items.

Picture Day
Picture day will be on Friday, September 30th. Watch your student's Wednesday folder this week for the picture order form.

Wednesday Folder Fliers - New online postings UPDATED LINK!
ISD 199 has created a flyer review process in order to share information on upcoming activities and events from community organizations and groups. This information is provided as a community service to our families. This process will help reduce the number of unsolicited flyers sent home to families and be more environmentally friendly. ISD 199 does not sponsor these activities and reserves the right to modify these procedures as necessary. Flyer approval or denial will be made by the superintendent or designee. Approval from another school district does not constitute ISD 199 approval. Approved postings will be listed on the district’s website. You can view the current fliers here:

School Hours
School hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. We ask that parents drop students off between 8:15-8:25 a.m.

If you drop your student off at school in the morning, please follow these guidelines to ensure a safe environment for all Pine Bend students:

  • Drop students off at the curb.

Attendance
ISD 199 wants your children to be successful at school. Attendance at school every day plays an important part in that success. Our goal is to help your children get into the habit of coming to school every day. Please review the flier found here http://dpi.wi.gov/sites/default/files/imce/sspw/pdf/caearlyattend.pdf that emphasizes the importance attendance plays in your child’s school career.

At Pine Bend, we monitor attendance very closely. Note that a letter will be sent home

  • At 3 unexcused absences
  • At 5 unexcused absences
  • At 7 unexcused absences; meeting with parents
  • After 7 unexcused absences, a report is made to Dakota County Child Protection for educational neglect as mandated by MN Statute 102A.22.

**3 unexcused tardies are considered 1 unexcused absence.
