Simley High School & IGH Middle School Fine Arts Show will be TONIGHT, Monday, 5/22 and Tuesday, 5/23  from 5-8 p.m. each evening in the main gym. Stop in and enjoy the creations of our talented students.

**The Middle School PTSA is selling $25 Gertens Plant Cards during the Art show on Monday and Tuesday. The money raised will help fund our teacher's mini grant requests.


Choir Concert Tonight - Monday, May 22 at 7 p.m.

Band Concert - Tuesday, May 23 at 7 p.m.


Yearbook Distribution -  TODAY there will be a yearbook distribution party held in the Spartan Center immediately after school for students to pick up their pre-ordered Yearbooks. If you procrastinated and still need to purchase one, a limited supply of extras will be available for $90. There will be free cookies and punch at the distribution party as well as $1 sharpies and $1 raffle tickets to win a chance to pie an administrator or a teacher.  


The Simley Lacrosse team closes its home schedule tonight with Youth Night and Senior Night. The program's seniors will be honored before the game, and all youth lacrosse players who wear their jersey to the game will be admitted free. The Spartans host Duluth, with JV playing at 5:30p and Varsity at 7p.


TONIGHT - Attention HS baseball players and Parents, there will be a meeting for all players and parents committed to play Jr. Legion and VFW at 8 p.m. in the Spartan Center.  Schedules will be distributed, Registration and payment for Summer baseball will also be taken.


Attention all Volleyball Players - There will be a brief meeting on Tuesday, May 23rd, for anyone interested in playing on any of Simley's high school volleyball teams next fall, including any of this year's 6th, 7th or 8th graders. The meeting will be held at 7:15 a.m. in the Spartan Center. We will discuss summer volleyball activities, fall tryouts, and our fall schedule.


The deadline to register for a CLEP exam has been extended through today, Monday, May 22nd. If you plan to take a CLEP exam please see Ms. Kimble by the end of the day. The College Algebra Exam will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, May 23rd and the College Composition Exam will take place Wednesday, May 24th. The class of 2017 is invited to the ALL NIGHT PARTY on Friday, June 9th.  The party is a great event for graduating seniors!  The doors to the party will open at 10:00 PM and all those who plan to attend must be there by 10:30 PM!  The party will end at approximately 4:00 AM.  The night is filled with lots of fun:  henna tattoos, palm readers, casino games, free food and much much more!

$40 Admission charge will be collected during the lunch periods on Wednesday, May 24th and Thursday May 25th this week and Wednesday, May 31st and Thursday June 1st next week.

Each student should also bring in a photo from elementary school days approximate size 3 X 5, please label the photo with your student's first and last name.  Photos can be retrieved at the end of the party, but not guaranteed to be returned.

Interested in visiting colleges this summer? You’re in luck! We are taking a road trip and you’re invited! You can join us for 1, 2, 3, or all 4 days. We will visit 2 colleges per day and it’s free to participate. Visiting campus is one of the best ways to figure out if a college will be a good fit for you so take advantage of this great opportunity! Applications can be picked up in the Career Center or Counseling office. Space will fill quickly and is first come, first serve so be sure to get your application in early! See Ms. Kimble with questions.


Are you interested in becoming a better athlete? Do you want to get stronger, faster, jump higher and have more agility? The summer Spartan Trained program is for you. There will be an informational meeting with the Director of the program Will Short on Wednesday, May 24 in the performing Art Center at 7:00 P.M. This program is for male and female athletes entering grades 7-12. The program starts June 12 and will run through August 11th. The program meets 5 days a week the entire summer.  Athletes who complete the program will receive a t-shirt at the end of the year. Students who meet the requirements can also letter in strength training. The cost of the program is $100.  The family max for fees is not applicable to the Summer programs.  High school boys will train from 7:00-8:15AM. High School Girls will train from 8:30-9:45AM. All middle school students will train from 10:00-11:15AM. Registration is now open on school view through Feepay. Informational Fliers are available in the activities office.

For all those students who will be in 7th-12th grade next year and missed the Cross Country meeting Monday night, please see or contact Mr. Gerber for information on summer training and the fall season.


Simley Co-Ed High School Bowling Club:  Do you have a son or daughter in 7th through 12th grade that is interested in bowling for the Simley Co-Ed High School Bowling Club?  Any level of bowler is welcome.  Practices will begin mid-August.  If interested, please contact Gary Salzman (coach) at [email protected]  for more information.  



Simley All-Night Party Graduation Party 2017…..Volunteers and support needed!

Each year the Parents of Simley Students host the All Night Party for the graduates.  In order to make this event happen we need about 75 volunteers.  Please consider sign up for a shift at the sign up genius link below:

Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
