Simley All-Night Party Graduation Party 2017….Is just days away!

We still need Volunteers!  

·   Set-up on Thursday night June 8th sign up and come for an hour or stay all night.

·    Friday night June 9th, we need security people, casino workers, game assistants and more.

This party cannot happen without volunteers. Parents, Teachers, Coaches, Community members - ALL are welcome.

Attention all Students that are registered for AP Art next year - There is a MANDATORY meeting on Tuesday, June 6th at 2:40 p.m. in Mr. Gilbertson’s room WA205. See Mr. Gilbertson if you have questions.

The Simley Boys Hockey Blue Line Club’s monthly meeting for June will be held Monday, June 5th @ 7pm at the Grove in Armory Room C.  All are welcome and are encouraged to attend.

SENIORS: You will be picking up your Graduation Tickets TODAY along with your Cap and Gown. All students will be receiving 8 tickets. If you need more, please see Ms. Sievert in the Main Office.

Seniors - Please clean out your lockers today before you leave. Return all textbooks to your teachers.

Attention all students that registered for a DCTC course for next school year: We will be having a meeting Monday during 4th hour in the Spartan Center. You will receive the required registration materials at the meeting, so you must attend the meeting.

Attention students who participated in the Grand March for Prom. A free 4x6 print of your Grand March photo will be available for pick up TODAY after school ONLY outside of Mrs. Martin's room, EA 211. The photos will be spread out on tables and you will have to find your picture.

After finishing the regular season with an 8-5 record, the Simley lacrosse team has been seeded fifth in its section and opens the playoffs TONIGHT at 6 p.m. at St. Thomas Academy.

REMINDER to Student Council & International Club Members - Make sure to turn in your field trip permission form for Valleyfair into Ms. Ney TODAY.

Attention all students and athletes!  All physical education and athletic lockers must be cleaned out TODAY! Any items left in the locker room after this date will be donated.  Thank you for cleaning out your lockers!

The class of 2017 is invited to the ALL NIGHT PARTY on Friday, June 9th.  The party is a great event for graduating seniors!  The doors to the party will open at 10:00 PM and all those who plan to attend must be there by 10:30 PM!  The party will end at approximately 4:00 AM.  The night is filled with lots of fun:  henna tattoos, palm readers, casino games, free food and much much more!

$40 Admission charge will be collected during the lunch periods TODAY, Thursday, June 1st .

Each student should also bring in a photo from elementary school days approximate size 3 X 5, please label the photo with your student's first and last name.  Photos can be retrieved at the end of the party, but not guaranteed to be returned.

YEARBOOKS - If you have not picked up your yearbook yet, stop by Mr. Mandell's room as soon as possible. There are still extras available for $90.

All medication in the health office will be sent home on Thursday, June 1 and Friday June 2 with students.  If you do not want the medication sent home with your child, please call the nurse directly at 651.306.7014 or email at  so that other arrangements can be made.  Please note, if your child has a doctor prescribed medication at school you will receive a phone call to make arrangements for pickup.

Simley students can now purchase a Student Summer Metro Pass for busses and trains all summer long! Metro tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at Have your student ID number ready when purchasing. This pass will give you UNLIMITED rides all summer. See fliers in the hallway for more information.


All boys and girls soccer players going into 8th grade through 12th grade are invited to attend the Simley Summer Soccer Camps with Coach Dayus and Coach Delos Santos. The boys camp runs June 19-21, from 8:30-10:30 am. The girls camp runs June 26-29 from 9:00-11:00. Cost is $60 for the boys camp and $80 for the girls camp. Registration can be found online at If you prefer to mail in a camp registration form, the forms can also be found online.

LOST AND NEEDS TO BE FOUND- Students who have lost items please come check the lost and found in the dean's office. Items include retainers, glasses, jackets, etc. All items will be donated or thrown away Monday, June 5th, 2017.

If you have artwork that was displayed in the art show, stop by the Art room before the end of the year to pick up.

If you were unable to make it to the Student Recognition Ceremony you can pick-up your awards in the Main Office.

Driver Education Classroom and Behind the Wheel

Grades 9-12

Our Driver Education program is taught by certified licensed instructors. The state of Minnesota requires anyone under the age of 18 wishing to obtain a MN Driver's License to complete an approved course in driver education. This course must include a minimum of 30 hours of classroom instruction and six hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.

Are you interested in becoming a better athlete? Do you want to get stronger, faster, jump higher and have more agility? The summer Spartan Trained program is for you. This program is for male and female athletes entering grades 7-12. The program starts June 12 and will run through August 11th. The program meets 5 days a week the entire summer.  Athletes who complete the program will receive a t-shirt at the end of the year. Students who meet the requirements can also letter in strength training. The cost of the program is $100.  The family max for fees is not applicable to the Summer programs.

High school boys will train from 7:00-8:15 A.M.

High School Girls will train from 8:30-9:45 A.M.

All middle school students will train from 10:00-11:15 A.M.

Simley Co-Ed High School Bowling Club:  Do you have a son or daughter in 7th through 12th grade that is interested in bowling for the Simley Co-Ed High School Bowling Club?  Any level of bowler is welcome.  Practices will begin mid-August.  If interested, please contact Gary Salzman (coach) at  for more information.  

Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
