The Simley girls soccer team scored three goals late in the first half during a six minute span and added one early in the second half to beat Tartan 4-1.  Junior Lexi Reichenbach scored a pair of goals, while junior Cally Cunningham and sophomore Sydney Loomis each contributed a goal.  The Spartans return home playing a non-conference game at 1pm on Saturday.

 

The Girls Swim & Dive Team competed against the Undefeated Hastings Raiders at last night's meet.  Simley had fast swims & great dives against Hastings.

Interested in joining the 2017-2018 Simley Dance Team?  Winter Competitive Team tryout practices will take place on Monday, October 23rd and Tuesday, October 24th from 4:00-5:00pm & 5:15-6:15pm. Tryouts and team announcements will take place on Tuesday, October 24th after practice from 6:30-7:30pm.  If you are currently in grades 7-12, you are welcome to tryout.  See the signs posted around school for more details. ATTENTION GIRL HOCKEY PLAYERS - There will be a mandatory meeting on Sunday, September 24 at 6 pm in Community Room 1 at the VMCC for all players planning to play in the Simley Girls High School hockey program this 2017-18 season. All hockey players and their parents must attend. Any students interested in becoming a team manager should attend this meeting as well, along with a parent. We will discuss captains practice schedules, expectations, fundraisers, the tryout schedule and this will be the only opportunity for players and managers to try on sample sizes for this season's team apparel. Please join the Simley Dance Team on Saturday, September 30th at 11:00am at DrKula's Bowling Alley for the 2nd Annual Simley Dance Team fundraiser.   

  • A family friendly event of Moonlight Bowling (3 games), Great Silent Auction Items, Lucky Strike Pot Tickets and a Special Appearance by the MN Vikings Cheerleaders is sure to be a blast!

Tickets are $20/person and are available through your favorite Simley Dancer.  There will also be a limited number available at the door the day of the event.  Come Join the FUN!

Mandatory Boy's Lacrosse Player/Parent Meeting for 2018

Thursday, November 9th, at 7pm in the Spartan Center.

If you are planning on/interested in playing lacrosse this Spring, you must attend.

We will provide important information for the 2018 Spring season, as well as our new Summer Training Program, and Fall League.


Fall Academic Awards-If you were unable to attend the ceremony Monday night, you can pick up your award in the main office.


Student Parking Lot- Only students with a Simley parking pass are able to park in the student lot. If you do not have a pass, you must park off campus. Students found parked in the lot with a pass may be ticketed, booted etc. See Ms. Sievert in the main office if you have questions.


Basketball Booster Meeting – Wednesday, September 27th, 7:00 at Simley in Mr Peper’s room (W101).  


Attention Boy’s hockey players:

  • Fall ice for 9-12 graders is starting on October 1st.  Cost is $100 for 8 sessions.

Bring a check written to the BLC on the first day.  Fall ice is for any 9-12 grader, regardless if they are trying out for the high school team.

  • Captain’s practice starts October 30th.  Cost is $100 for 10 sessions.

The Simley Homecoming Dance will be on Saturday, October 7th  from 7:30-10:30 p.m.  Tickets will be $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets will be sold beginning 9/28 during all lunches.

Guest contracts for the Homecoming Dance are available in the Guidance Office. They are due back no later than Wednesday, October 4. You will not be allowed to purchase a guest ticket until the form is filled out completely and signed by Ms. Klukas.

 


Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
