Last week the Simley boys head coaches nominated and voted on the Apollo Male Athlete of the year for the class of 2018. Four senior male athletes were nominated:

Emmitt Nelson

Jamie Warrick

Jake Binley

Congratulations to the four outstanding male athletes.

The head coaches voted and the 2018 Apollo-male athlete of the year is Jake Binley. Congratulations to Jake Binley. Jake will presented the Athlete of the Year award at the Academic Recognition on Wednesday, May 23.

On Wednesday, May 23rd, homeroom for all seniors will take place in the Performing Arts Center.  Please report directly to the PAC at 12:45.  Important

information such as cap & gown distribution, graduation and sending final transcripts will be presented. Please don’t be late as we have a lot of information to cover.

Attention Student Council Members: We will have our last Student Council meeting tomorrow in the Student Center at 7:20 a.m. We will be discussing our activities from this year and our celebratory picnic scheduled for Friday. See you there.

PLEASE HELP ……. PARENTS: In order for the Simley All Night party to run smoothly, or at all, WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!  Please visit the Senior All Night Party Volunteer sign up genius account to pick your volunteer activity:

Volunteers will be needed for set up on Thursday, June 7 with shifts starting at 5:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., as well as the night of the event, Friday, June 8 from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Attention all female athletes!  Please clean out your athletic lockers as soon as possible.  Take your locks and items home. Lockers will be cleaned out starting May 25th and items will be donated to charity.  If your sport goes into the following week please let Mrs. Walsh know! Thanks!



Attention Parents - If you are calling in to report an absence and would like to go directly to the Attendance line, please call 651-306-7010.  

Attention students who went to prom: You can pick up a printed copy of your 4x6 prom photo from Grand March before or after school on Friday, May 18th or Monday, May 21st. There are two copies of each photo available. The photos are on a table near the stairwell and bathroom on the second floor of the EA building.

Attn: Students who registered for AP Literature for next fall, you will meet with Ms. Brunsvold in the Student Center (upstairs) at 10:04 on Wednesday, May 23 to discuss your summer reading assignment.

We are taking a road trip to college! Simley students have the opportunity to join us for 1, 2, 3, or all 4 days as we road trip to local college campuses - all for free! Pick-up an application in the counseling office or career center and see Ms. Kimble with any questions!

A reminder for students interested in PSEO for the 2018 - 2019 school year.  You must meet with your counselor PRIOR to May 30th to discuss the PSEO process.  

ALL Students: Reminder that only students with parking passes are allowed to park in the lots. If you do not have a pass, you cannot park on school grounds.




Spartan Trained Summer Speed & Strength Program - June 11 through August 10

For: Athletes entering grades 7-12.

Cost: $100.  The family max for fees is not applicable to the Summer programs.

Session Times:

    7:00-8:00 A.M.  - High school boys & girls entering 9th-12th grade

    8:00 - 9:00 A.M. - High School girls entering 9th-12th grade

    9:15 A.M. -10:15 A.M. - High School boys entering 9th-12th grade

   10:30 A.M.-11:30 A.M. - All middle school boys & girls entering 7th & 8th grade

Registration is now open on Feepay. Informational flyers are available in the Activities office. Contact Will Short at if you have questions.

Attention Seniors:  Each of you must complete a graduation survey.  A link to the survey can be found on Simley's homepage.  The survey allows us to track your post-high school plans as well as authorizes the release of your final transcript.  Please complete this as soon as possible. Final deadline is Friday, May 18.

Attention Current 9th-11th  Graders - The Simley High School Girls Basketball staff is organizing several Summer opportunities to improve your skills. Registration forms are available in the Activities office or online at


Senior Parents/Guardians: Newsletter correction ~ The address to mail payments to purchase a ticket for the Senior All Night Party is 3042 96th Street E. If you did not receive a newsletter, they are available in the high school main office or guidance office.

Seniors - Your Senior Grad Fee is due!   Payments can be made on Fee Pay or in person to Ms. Sievert in the Main Office.

Reminder to Simley students - You are NOT allowed to be in the middle school. This includes cutting through the middle school in the morning and afternoons when arriving to or leaving from school.
