New Announcements
Volleyball
Both 7th and 8th grade volleyball games are home today (10/12) 8th grade has been switched from away to home. Volleyball jerseys will be returned after the game.
6th Grade Party
Friday, October 13th, 6:30-8:30

We are also still accepting donations, such as 2 liter bottles of pop, fun size candy, and $5 gift cards for prizes. Donations can be dropped off in the main office by Friday, October 13th.
Tickets will be sold Today and Friday this week during lunch.
Ticket cost- $5 to cover the cost of food and entertainment.
Attention: Students are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to the dance to donate to the food shelf at Neighbors Inc. All who donate will be entered into a drawing for prizes.
All Students need to be picked up at the party no later than 8:30 pm.
Basketball
Attention all 8th grade girls that are trying out for the high school basketball team - There is an informational meeting TOMORROW morning, Friday, October 13th at 7:10 a.m. in the high school main gym.
Attention all 7th & 8th Grade Girls and 6th-8th Grade Boys!
7th & 8th Grade Girls Basketball and Middle School Wrestling begins after school on Wednesday, November 1st. Participants must have a current sports physical on file to register. Registration is done online through Feepay at https://invergrove.feepay.com/ Contact the Activities office if you have questions.
Nordic Ski Team
Attention all 7th & 8th Graders - Are you interested in Cross Country skiing? There will be a Nordic Ski meeting on Tuesday, October 17th at 2:40 p.m. in Coach Sedler's room (WA 111) in the high school. Check in with Coach Sedler ([email protected]) or Coach Anderson ([email protected]) if you aren't able to make the meeting.
Continuing Announcements
An Important Reminder for all students & parents…
All students must be accompanied by an adult in order to attend any home athletic events. This includes all middle school events as well as any high school events including the varsity football games. We will turn students away at the door if they are not with an adult. Please know that a parent cannot just drop a student off for the night. They must buy a ticket and be in attendance during the event.
PTSA Book Fair
It's time for the Fall Book Fair! Please support literacy in our schools by volunteering to help with our Book Fair (Oct 16 - 18, during Conferences). Thank you!

Each year the PTSA hosts a collection contest starting in January, so start collecting these at home now!
This is the easiest and biggest fundraiser we host. We won't ask you to sell anything, so take this opportunity to contribute!
Dance Team
Interested in joining the 2017-2018 Simley Dance Team? Winter Competitive Team tryout practices will take place on Monday, October 23rd and Tuesday, October 24th from 4:00-5:00 pm & 5:15-6:15pm. Tryouts and team announcements will take place on Tuesday, October 24th after practice from 6:30-7:30 pm. If you are currently in grades 7-12, you are welcome to tryout.
