Picture Day is coming!
Picture Day for all students who did not have their picture taken on August 22nd is Monday, September 9th. Please go to www.mylifetouch.com and use Picture Day ID: EVTC7FQVK
Every student who has not had a picture taken should do so. These pictures are used for the yearbook and a purchase is not required. Picture retakes are October 10th.
The 2019 Simley Dance Team Kids Clinic will be held on October 10th and 11th for interested dancers grades K-8. Check out the Kids Clinic website for more information and to get registered! Info: http://www.simleydanceteam.com/kids-clinic/
The Simley Girls Swim and Dive Team Crushed the South St. Paul Packers at last night's Border Battle. The Spartans took 1st, 2nd & 3rd in 6 out of 12 events. They dominated in every event! At the end, the Spartans went exhibition in 4 events to win the meet 91 -79.

From The P.E. Department
All Middle School Physical Education students are to provide their own combination lock for P.E. class. Students should start bringing their locks to class NOW. Each student must have a lock to receive a gym locker. If you cannot provide a lock, students must speak to their P.E. teacher.
THEATRE News
Auditions for Romeo and Juliet will be held Tuesday, September 10th and Wednesday, September 11th after school from 3:45 until 5 pm. Call backs will be held Thursday as needed and casting shall be done and posted by Friday of the same week. You can find audition sign-ups in the middle school main office as well as outside the Theatre office in the high school.
Therapy OPS: Parent Support Group for Children with Special Needs & Grant Re-Opening Event

The first Middle School PTO meeting is Tuesday, September 17th at 6:30 in the Media Center. We will be sharing more information about committees, including the Book Fair and the upcoming 6th grade party. This is a great opportunity to get involved. Mark your calendar!
Simley Theatre Booster Club announces the FIRST meeting of the school year! Please join them on Tuesday, September 10th at 7:00 pm in the Simley IMC. All are welcome to attend!
Simley Co-Ed High School Bowling Club: Do you have a son or daughter in 7th through 12th grade that is interested in bowling for the Simley Co-Ed High School Bowling Club? Any level of bowler is welcome. Practices will begin mid-August. If interested, please contact Gary Salzman (coach) at

Sports Schedules
All middle school & high school sports game schedules can be found at www.metroeastconference.org - click on Simley. Whenever there are changes to the schedule, the change will be made here. This is the official schedule.
**If you would like to receive a notification whenever a change is made, you can sign up for that on this site. This is a very helpful feature particularly in the Spring when are dealing with so many weather issues. Go to www.metroeastconference.org - click on Simley. On the right hand side of page, there is a box "Notify Me" - click on "Notify Me" - create an account, choose your preferences & you will be notified. There is also a box to get the mobile app.
*Important Reminder for all students & parents
All students must be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian in order to attend any home athletic events. This includes all middle school events as well as any high school events. We will turn students away at the door if they are not with a Parent/Guardian. Please know that a Parent/Guardian cannot just drop a student off for the night. They must buy a ticket and be in attendance during the event.
