Inver Grove Heights Middle School Announcements

CARES Transportation Resources Program

What:  The CARES Transportation Resources Program was designed by Dakota County to support individuals who have been negatively impacted by COVID-19 in their transportation needs.  Individuals can select to receive either Lyft codes or Metro Transit GoTo card funds.  

This is a limited time program.

 

Who is eligible:  Residents of Dakota County who are connected to Dakota County Community Services who have been negatively affected by COVID-19 and are facing transportation barriers

 

How to get started:  Complete the CARES Transportation Resources Application and submit to [email protected].

Only completed applications will be accepted.  If Lyft codes are selected, the code will be either emailed or texted to the individual.  If a GoTo card is selected, the GoTo card will be mailed to the individual.

PARENT Education Conference


Join NAMI Minnesota & TriDistrict Community Education (South St. Paul, Inver Grove

Heights, and West St. Paul) for a FREE Virtual Super Saturday: Parent Education

Conference on October 24th! This online event is designed to meet the needs of biological,

foster, and adoptive parents, family members, paraprofessionals, and others who work with

or care for children with and without a mental health diagnosis. Event includes breakout

sessions on a variety of topics related to children’s mental health.

Students For Change: a New Group at IGHMS 

We are looking for 4 students per grade to BE A VOICE FOR THE STUDENTS AT IGHMS; discuss issues that students are dealing with at school with a focus on equity and racial issues. Lead community fundraising and promote school spirit. Virtual meetings will be held 1-2 times a month on Wednesdays.

QR Code for the online application is available on the posters around the building and the application has been pushed to all students via the Schoology attendance groups. 

 

Looking for something active to do after school?  Middle School Recreational Sports is the class for you!  We will be exploring many different sports and activities, and utilizing outdoor areas as much as possible.  Get some exercise after being in class all day!  This class will meet after school on Mon/Tues for students in Group A, & Thu/Fri for students in Group B. Scholarships are available. Call Community Education at 651-306-7867 for more information.
