IGH Early Learning Advisory Council

The IGH Early Learning Advisory Council (ELAC) supports school district early childhood programs. Council members discuss and make recommendations for services and policies, while providing family perspectives that guide early learning program development.

The Council meets at the Early Learning Center, one Monday a month
 6:00 - 7:30 pm

3 ways to participate
Come as a member, a visitor or be a volunteer

MEMBERS

 

Members are primarily parents or guardians who are active participants in Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) or have children in IGH Little Spartans Preschool.

Members:

  • Contribute to discussions that guide decision-making and program development 
  • Help plan and support special events
  • ·Advocate for Early Learning in the community and at the MN legislature
  • Connect with other community members dedicated to supporting young children and their families

VOLUNTEERS

 

Volunteers are early learning supporters who help make Early Learning Advisory Council projects and initiatives successful.

Ways to volunteer:

  • Help with Gertens fundraiser by taking a shift to set up the gym or help with item pick-up (Nov)
  • Help promote early learning at community events
  • Advocate for early learning at the capitol
