ELEMENTARY SUMMER ACADEMY (K-5)
ISD 199 Summer Academy is a state-funded targeted services program that offers additional learning opportunities to eligible students in kindergarten through 5th-grade over four weeks in the summer. Students qualify and are eligible for participation based on state targeted services criteria:
- demonstration of academic performance significantly below grade-level expectations,
- at-risk for failing to meet the state’s academic content standards,
- having limited English proficiency,
- and/or having behavioral or mental health needs that may put students at risk of not being successful in school
Participation is based on state eligibility criteria; fully completed documents, enrollment paperwork, and summer registration by the March 20 deadline; and available space/staffing.

APPLICATION PROCESS (for students not currently enrolled in ISD 199)
- Complete ISD 199 Elementary Summer Academy 2020 Interest Form.
- Complete and sign the Data Release Form and submit to current school.
- Student’s records must be shared with ISD 199 to determine Elementary Summer Academy targeted services eligibility and to receive an invitation to register. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure that student data/records are received within the application process timeline.
- Ask current classroom teacher to complete both pages of the Continual Learning Plan (CLP).
- Sign parent signature line of CLP.
- Return completed ISD 199 Elementary Summer Academy 2020 interest form and completed/signed CLP to Sarah Zaiser at Hilltop Elementary, [email protected] , 651-306-7400 .
- Based on student data records and the completed CLP, students will receive an acceptance or decline of eligibility to enroll and register for ISD 199 Elementary Summer Academy 2020.
- If eligible, parents/guardians will receive enrollment and registration forms. All documents (completed and signed CLP, completed ISD 199 enrollment packet, including an Open Enrollment Form if applicable) and completed and signed Summer Academy registration must be submitted by March 20, 2020. No late registrations will be accepted.
