Health & Safety Notifications
Safety is a priority at ISD 199. To protect the health of our staff and students, ISD 199 routinely tests for lead in drinking water and radon at all of our sites. No radon was detected at any of our sites during testing this month. Some of the faucets need repairs based on our Lead in Water Safety Plan.
Repairs have begun, but out of an abundance of caution, drinking fountain attachments will be removed from sinks, water fountains will be turned off, and “Do not drink” signs will be posted. More water bottle fillers, “Hydration Stations,” will be installed to allow students convenient access to drinking water. ISD 199 will take steps according to Minnesota Department of Health guidelines to ensure the safety of all drinking water before faucets are OK’ed.
