IGH Early Learning Advisory Council

The IGH Early Learning Advisory Council (ELAC) supports school district early childhood programs. Council members discuss and make recommendations for services and policies, while providing family perspectives that guide early learning program development.

The Council meets at the Early Learning Center*, one Monday a month
 6:00 - 7:30 pm 

2020-2021: Sep 21, Oct 19, Nov 16, Dec 14, Jan 25, Feb 22, Mar 15, Apr 19, May 17

3 ways to participate
Come as a member, a visitor or be a volunteer




Members are primarily parents or guardians who are active participants in Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) or have children in IGH Preschool.


  • discuss and make recommendations
  • get updates on program policies & implementation
  • advocates for early learning in the community and at the legislature
  • ·organize fundraising and volunteers
  • determine how money from fundraising is spent

How to be a voting member? Complete interest form and attend at least one meeting as a visitor. For more info, call 651-306-7861 or email Lora at





Visitors are active participants in Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) or have children in IGH preschool.

Come as a visitor to:

  • learn more about what the council does
  • find out more about the program
  • add your voice to discussions

Volunteers are early learning supporters who help make Early Learning Advisory Council projects and initiatives successful.

Ways to volunteer:

  • help with Gertens fundraiser by taking a shift to set up the gym or help with deliveries (Nov 15 & 18)
  • help promote early learning at community events such as Touch-a-truck, Summer park events, etc.
  • Advocate for early learning at the capitol (April)
