Career Exploration Resources

There are an overwhelming amount of career exploration resources available on the internet. As with anything, some are better than others. Simley students are exposed to a variety of different career exploration activities starting in freshmen year, primarily through the Minnesota Career Information System (MCIS) online platform. Each student has a portfolio on MCIS that they add material and activities to each year as they create their post-secondary plan. 

Outside of MCIS, there are wide range of sites and resources for students to explore career options and gather occupational information. Several reputable sites are listed below. 

Occupational Outlook Handbook Federal site which includes all things related to occupations with up-to-date information. (www.bls.gov/ooh)
